What this site collects
1. Your email address, only if you join the release list.
When you enter your email to get the free ebook, it is stored by our email provider (Kit). We use it for one purpose only: to send you the free ebook on release day (November 30, 2026). One email. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can leave the list at any time.
2. Your contact message, only if you write to us.
If you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, and message through our form delivery provider (FormSubmit), which forwards it to us by email. We use it only to read and respond to your message.
3. Basic technical data, automatically.
Like every website, this site receives standard technical information your browser sends to load the page (such as your IP address). We use a timezone service (ipapi.co) so countdown timers display in your local time; your IP address is sent to that service for the lookup and we do not store it. Your reading progress and bookmarks are saved only in your own browser, not on our servers.
What we never do
- We do not sell your information.
- We do not share your email address with advertisers.
- We do not run Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other advertising trackers on this site.
Third-party services
- Kit: stores the release-list email addresses and sends the release-day email.
- FormSubmit: delivers contact-form messages to us by email.
- ipapi.co: timezone lookup (receives your IP address for the lookup; we store nothing from it).
- Google Fonts: loads the site's fonts from Google's servers, which may receive standard technical request data.
- Instagram, TikTok, X: outbound links. Once you leave this site, those platforms' own policies apply.
Your rights
You can ask us to delete your email from the release list at any time. Email hello@testingthetruth.com with the subject "Delete my email" and we will remove it.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date.

This work contains limited excerpts, references, or audiovisual elements from copyrighted material. Such use is made under the fair use doctrine codified at 17 U.S.C. § 107.
The purpose and character of the use is transformative. The material is employed for criticism, commentary, public discussion, and advocacy concerning artificial intelligence systems, their training practices, consistency of standards, and the broader relationship between human creative work and machine learning. The use does not supersede the original works or serve as a market substitute for them. It adds new expression, meaning, and message by situating the material within a larger examination of systemic practices.
The nature of the copyrighted works is acknowledged. Where creative or expressive works are referenced, only those portions reasonably necessary to the critical and commentary purpose are used.
The amount and substantiality of the portion used is limited to what is required to achieve the transformative purpose of criticism, commentary, and advocacy. No more of any work is taken than is needed to make the point.

Additional Statement of Principle
This use is also grounded in a consistency argument. Large-scale artificial intelligence systems have trained on vast quantities of human creative work –often under broad claims of fair use or transformative use–frequently without permission, compensation, or meaningful transparency. If such systems may draw upon the full corpus of human creation for their own development and commercial operation, then human creators and critics retain a corresponding right, under the same fair use framework, to reference and employ limited portions of that corpus for the purpose of examining, criticizing, and advocating reform of those systems.
The material appears here in service of that examination and advocacy. It is not used to appropriate the commercial value of the original works, but to confront the standards under which those works have already been appropriated at scale.
This notice is provided to make the basis of the use transparent. All rights in the underlying copyrighted works remain with their respective owners.
